TERRORIZER
Knut - Bastardiser
Hydra Head

You can infer a lot from the fact that two of the best songs here are titled "Crawling (on all Fours)" and "The Whip". Are the members of Knut out trawling Geneva's S/M clubs in search of a new inspiration /influence to add to their noisecore base? They already do a decent enough job distinguishing themselves by gutting a dreary Godflesh influence and placing it adjacent to the upbeat, Converge-ish riffing and that makes them okay in my books.

Knut exemplify why noisecore is probably the most vital and promising genre in extreme music; that different influences can be incorporated into the mix, allowing a broader exploration of sound and composition. "Bastardiser" tends to the repetitive and ordinary a bit too much, but if you keep in mind that this was recorded four years ago... Well, the new stuff that's due come summertime should fucking kill!
